Early Melnik (Melnik 55 / Ranna Melnishka Loza)

14% ABV

The grapes are harvested by hand from controlled-yield vineyards and sorted twice—first as whole bunches and again after destemming. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vessels. Malolactic fermentation and ten months of maturation occur in 225-litre French oak barrels, followed by three additional months in bottle before release.

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of black cherries, forest fruits, sweet spices and vanilla. Medium-to-full-bodied with a balanced structure, soft texture and a long finish displaying black pepper and tobacco.

Pair with grilled lamb, roast beef, game, seasoned pork, tomato-based dishes, traditional Bulgarian meat dishes or mature hard cheeses. Serve at 15–18°C.
